My name is Amir Hudgins and I am a senior at Dutch Fork High School. I started playing volleyball in February 2023 and fell in love with the sport. I realized I had a natural ability in the sport, however to learn the essentials, I attended Carolina Volleyball day camp over the summer. I have had no other formal training but am passionate about volleyball, both on and off the court. I practice and train every single day in order to improve on skills I’ve learned. 

 My first club season will be with LMVC Boys team, where I will be playing Outside Hitter #10. My goal for this season is to win every tournament my team participates in; while consistently improving my skills. 

Before I played volleyball, I was a basketball player, focused on improving my athletic abilities. I am a firm believer that in order to be the best player on the court, you have to be disciplined, and put in the work off the court. I have always strived to be the best version of myself and pushing past my limits as a player to become even better than before. I maintain a healthy diet and am dedicated to improving all of my stats. Everyday, I work hard to improve myself, my athletic performance, and endurance.

 I will always hustle for the ball in order to keep it from touching the floor. As an athlete my coaches always tell me that I’m a hustler, have great work ethic, and a great attitude. 

 After high school, my dream is to become certified to teach English overseas. My goal for my volleyball career is to play for the U.S Men’s National team and to play against the best teams in the world.
